Lovely to read this year's news letter. I'm really interested in the farming advice - it sounds almost exactly like the philosophy behind 'permaculture' which has been interesting me lately. While there are some 'airy fairy' slightly hippy elements of permaculture, much of it involves looking after the world rather than exploting it. One key approach to gardening is the 'no-dig' theory which avoids digging or ploughing to preserve the soil structure and micro bacterial make-up to improve yields. Some people's small scale trials I've read about have shown remarkable increases in yield. I'm fascinated that this is being applied to farms in Mozambique.
ReplyDeleteGreat to hear from you and all the very blessed for the coming year.
With love,
